PICNIC AND CONCERT The Momona School children and their parents had a fine day for the annual picnic at Brighton.. In addition, to a sports programme, a happy time was spent in boating, paddling, and swimming. Colquhoun and Miss B. Shields 2 (equal). Committee men’s race.—J. M'Niel 1, L. Gamble 2, A. Thornton 3. The pupils gave a concert in the local hall. Mr A. C. Wheeler (chairman of the school committee) presided. In addition to songs and dances by the pupils, individual items were given by Alan Ralston, Rene Ford, Betty Bruce, and Ivan M'Xeill. The Chairman congratulated the children on their successful concert, and thanked the teachers for the training given.
