CARGO HELD UP IN STRIKE
DEMURRAGE WAIVED { [Per United Press Association.] I AUCKLAND, December 20. An application from the Port of Auckland' Shipping and Stevedores’’ Association for some rebate in tha berthing dues on ships' affected by; the hold-up of. waterfront work ini November was received by the Auckland Harbour Board, which was also asked to gi ant a remission of storage charges on cargo received on the wharves for shipment ■ hut unable to be loaded. A recommendation from the meeting of the board in committee was adopted stating that the charges levied against companies for demurrage and- penal demurrage, on outward cargo held up during the period should be remitted*
