DRUIDISM

Acting Arch Druid Bro. A. Harris presided at the meeting of Enterprise Lodge held last Wednesday. The bards’ report disclosed that there is still a fair amount of sickness amougsc the members, £l6 being the amount of sick pay passed for payment. D.P, Bro. H. J. Smaill, assisted by Bro. L» Bruu, carried out the ceremony of, in* stalling the officers elect into their respective chairs, the lodge passing a vote of th'anks to the installing officers. Next lodge meeting will be children’s night. During the evening D.P. Bro. H. J. Smaill made a presentation of a framed P.A. diploma to .T.P.A. Bro. Harris. Bro. C. Bird presided at the last meeting for the year of Ivanhoa Lodge. Christmas greetings were received from the various lodges of Nos. 1 and 2 districts. D.P. Bro. Wilson attended officially, and with the assistance of P.A. Bro. Ingle installed the officers elected at the previous meeting into their respective chairs. Final arrangements were made in connection with the children’s Christmas party to be held on December 21. Before closing the meeting the brethren extended to D.P. Bro. C. Wilson and to Bro. P. Neame, the newly-installed Arch Druid, the season’s greetings. The Christmas meeting of the Otago Lodge was held l last Monday, when Arch Druid Bro. Jepson presided over a large attendance of members and visitors. D.P. Bro. Wilson paid an official visit, and at the invitation of the Arch Druid installed the officers into their respective chairs for the next term. After business the _ lodge adjourned for its annual Christmas children’s night. Miss Webster’s dancing academy gave an entertaining programme of character and fancy dancing and solos, and later Father Christmas arrived, accompanied hy Aunty Jill and Uncle Peter of 4ZB. Supper was provided, and after the distribution of toys the hajiDy company dispersed with the suiting of ‘Auld Lang Syne.’-
