[From Our Balceutha Correspondent.] PERSONAL. Prior to leaving Balelutha telephone exchange for Gore, Mr Cyril Brownlie was the recipient of a suit case and pair of military hair brushes from his colleagues on the Balelutha Post Office staff. In making the presentation on Thursday afternoon, Mr L. V. Fowler (supervisor) expressed best wishes for Mr Brownlie’s future. Messrs T. A. M'Kay and C. 11. M'lntyre also tendered good wishes on behalf of the exchange staff. Mr Brownlie suitably replied. BOWLING. On Wednesday night a rink from Milton Club (J. T. Wilson, P. Davenney, J. Cuff, J. Campbell) paid a visit to try to wrest the Gold Memorial Cup from the Kaitangata holders (W. Parks, W. Neil, C. Pennell, E. Mackie). Although the green was a bit heavy after recent rain, an excellent game resulted in a win for the Kaitangata rink by 19 points to 16 points. SWIMMING. Despite the cold night, there was an excellent attendance at the weekly competitions held under the auspices of the Balelutha Amateur Swimming Club on Thursday night.
