TOWN HALL DANCE
The art of dancing is a pastime which has a wide appeal among members of the younger generation. New forms of entertainment spring up frora time to time, but youth, fickle in its fancies, soon tires of them. Dancing, however, appears to be a recreation which will always be in vogue, and large numbers of people, both young and old, derive considerable enjoyment from attending the popular old-time and modern dance held in the Town Hall every Saturday night. With its M.C. and radio vocalist (Mr James M'Farlane), bright music from Mr Alex. Swann’s band of seven players, the brilliant lighting effects, and excellent ballroom tin's dance always assures patrons of an excellent night’s entertainment. This week’s dance will take the form of a farewell night for Miss Cora Duff and Mr Leo. Schmelz, who leave on Monday next for Melbourne to renresent the Town Hall dance in the 11)38 Australasian dancing championship. The ‘ Lambeth Walk ’ will again be on the programme, and_ spectators will bo admitted to the circle for a small charge. 1
