ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
EXPLOSION INJURIES. Serious injuries to the bead and face woro received by Thomas Mills, aged 28, a farmer, of Pembroke road, Stratford, yesterday afternoon when blasting powder stored in a shed on the farm of his father, A. 31. Mills, exploded. He was admitted to the Stratford Hospital, where ho was reported Inst night to be in a satisfactory condition. The left hand of Donald Valentine, aged 15, of Mangorei road, New Plymouth, was blown off yesterday afternoon by the explosion of home-made gunpowder which ho struck with a hammer. After an operation had been performed in the New Plymouth Hospital his condition was reported to bo satisfactory. CHILD’S HANDS BURNED.
As a result of falling against a range 31 ary Gibson, a child, who lives at U Filled! street, suffered burns to her hands. She was admitted to the Hospital at 8 o'clock last night.
