SYDNEY, November 23. At Kensington to-day the Iliad— Black Cat colt Miltiades won the first division of the Three-year-old Handicap, and Silver Coat was third in. the Jumpers’ Flat Race. It is reported that the leading jockey, F. Sliean, who rode the winners of the Epsom Handicap, the Melbourne, Caulfield, and AVilliamstown Cups, and the Eclipse Stakes this season, contemplates retiring within 12 months. He will probably live in Central Queensland.
