TOWN HALL DANCE

The Lambeth Walk, one of the most discussed dances in recent years, had its introduction to Dunedin last Saturday night, when at the Main Town Hall it proved very popular with a number of learners who received instruction free of charge between 7 and 8 from Miss Betty Anderson and Mr Jack Robinson. Later in the evening Miss Anderson and Mr Robinson gave a demonstration of the walk, after which those present joined in. Owing to the increasing popularity of this dance, the learners’ session will again bo repeated this Saturday, and will also be featured in the programme. The music will be supplied by Mr y\lex. Swann's band of seven players, assisted by the well-known radio vocalist, Mr .James MacFarlano. Patrons are asked to watch the papers for particulars concerning the Blackpool Walk. Spectators will be admitted to the circle for a small charge.
