COUNTRY WOMEN’S WEEK
VISIT TO TECHNICAL COLLEGE Yesterday morning the visiting country women repaired to the Dunedin Technical High School where they were shown various aspects of the instruction given there. The visitors attended morning assembly, and then, tor halt an hour, were given the opportunity or studying the musical activities of the school. Selections were given by the band, orchestra, and choir, and then the delegates were conducted round the college by the senior girls. V isits were paid to the art school, the domestic rooms, the. dressmaking and typewriting classes, the girls’ science room, and the boys' metal and woodwork departments. Later the visitors were entertained at morning tea. The afternoon and evening were left free for the purpose of visiting the To-day’s programme included a visit to the Taieri and Peninsula milk factory this morning, and to the Roslyn Woollen Mills this afternoon. This evening a literary talk will be given at the R.S.A. rooms by Miss A. M'Dougall, and members of the Otago Women s Club will present a play. The final dav, to-morrow, will commence with a visit to St. Hilda’s College, in the morning. In the afternoon there will be a drive round the city and afternoon tea at the Brown House, followed by a visit to the Normal School, where the art instructress (Miss _ Copeland) will speak on her own subject. The evening entertainment will be a social evening at the Y.W.C.A.
