GOOD TEMPLARY
There was again a good attendance at tho meeting of the Rescue Lodge, No. 105, International Order of Good Templars, N held on Tuesday in the Oddfellows’ Hall, King Edward street, the presiding officer being Sister (Mrs) Donaldson, Vice-templar. , Reports were received from the superintendent of juvenile work that a good meeting had been held with a further addition to the membership and from the Queen Carnival Committee. The programme being of a sacred qnd temperance nature, a number of hymns were sung, interesting readings were provided by Sisters M'Ourdy and Donaldson and Bros. Mercer and lies, and Bro. Brooks rendered a solo. Sister A. Steedman was the accompanist. Arrangements were also made for the annual social to be held in December. Tho Star of the South, Juvenile Temple met the same evening, Bro. Brooks, S.J.W., in charge, the attendance being excellent. A fine programme was provided by the members, and one candidate was initiated.
