MASONIC GRAND LODGE

LORD GALWAY AGAIN HEAD OF THE CRAFT THE ELECTIVE OFFICERS [Peb United Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, November 23. The annual Communication of the Masonic Grand Lodge of New Zealand was opened in the Masonic Temple this morning. There are 302 lodges under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge, and practically all of these are represented cither by sitting masters or delegates. The first item of importance was the election of Grand Master, and the unanimous choice of the lodges was Lord Galway, whose reappointment was duly confirmed, and he thus enters upon his third term of office as head of the craft in the Dominion. The other important offices are filled by the Grand Master under his prerogative powers, and his appointments will be announced at the installation ceremony to-night. The elective officers were chosen as follows under the scheme of distribution submitted by the Board of General Purposes. As the grand secretary’s office for the next two years is to be situated in Christchurch, having Just been removed from Dunedin, the principal! executive officers are selected from this district:—•
