TOWN HALL DANCE

The ‘ A la Mode ’ dance had its introduction to Dunedin last Saturday night, when, at the Main Town Hall, a large crowd participated in a competition fpr which valuable prizes were presented. The new dance, which was arranged entirely by the organiser (Mr J. Brown), proved very popular with patrons, all of whom had an equal chance of winning the prizes. To-night the dance will again be held in the Main Town Hall, and eight prizes will be awarded to the winners. Another feature of the evening will be the appearance of Miss Winnie Pile, playing with Mr Alex. Swann’s band of eight players, and the vocalist, Mr James M'Farlane. Miss Pile plays the pianoaccordion, and in addition is a good vocalist. Next Saturday night the Lambeth Walk will bo introduced.
