Allen, Esq.) wishes the public to observe the following arrangements for the celebration of Armistice Day on Friday next, the 11th instant—viz.: — A short service arranged by the Returned Soldiers’ Association will be held a,t the Cenotaph, Queen’s Gardens, commencing at 10.45 a.m. A period of two minutes’ silence will be observed by all vehicular and pedestrian traffic, commencing from the striking of the hour of 11 by the Town Hall bell, when all traffic in the streets will be suspended fpr the time being.
