EYCROFT LTD. UNCHANGED INTERIM DIVIDEND [Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, October 28. The directors of Bycrqft Ltd. have announced an interim dividend of 4 per cent., unchanged, payable on November 15. D.I.C. LTD. FIFTY-FOURTH ANNUAL MEETING The annual meeting of the shareholders of the Drapery and General Importing Company of New Zealand Ltd. was held m the Somerset Lounge yesterday afternoon, the chairman of directors, Mr P. L. Hulsted, presiding. The chairman’s address was published in last night’s ‘ Star.’ Moving the adoption of the report and balance sheet the chairman had much pleasure in recommending that a dividend be paid at the rate of 5 per cent, per annum on preference shares for the half-year ended August 20, 1938, amounting to £0,250, and a dividend at the rate of 0 per cent, per annum be paid on ordinary shares for the year ended August 20, 1938, amounting to £14,588 19s sd; that the sum of £IO,OOO 7s Od be added to reserve, which will then stand atj£so,ooo; and that the balance of £45,570 15s 5d bo carried forward.

Mr H. H. Sykes seconded the motion, and 'congratulated the company on its record gross sales and-also in the increase of over £25,000 in the excess of liquid assets over liabilities. . Mrs R. Campbell, supporting the motion, said that the maintenance of the yearly dividends at a constant figure was a tribute to the sound management of the company’s business, and should give shareholders complete confidence in the board. The motion was carried. Mr M. S. Myers, who retired from the directorate and offered himself for re-election, was reappointed to the board. Auditors were reappointed as follows; —Messrs J. S. M'lnnes and Sons (Dunedin), Mr J. W. K. Lawrence (Christchurch), Mr E. 11. Dymock (Wellington), Mr T. Ballingall (Wanganui), and Messrs Henry 11. Frost and Sons (London). Mr A. H. Ibbotson moved a vote of thanks to the staff, which was seconded by Mr C. M. Grcenslade and carried by acclamation. Messrs M. S. Myers (general manager) and H. C.
