The Hungarian reply to the Czech Note has been delivered to Prague. It regrets that the Czech Government has not agreed to the holding of plebiscites in debated areas, demands territory in- which there is a Hungarian majority, and insists on immediate evacuation of areas, the transfer of which has already been agreed. DR IMREDY’S POLICY NOT AIMING AT PARTY DICTATORSHIP. BUDAPEST, October 27. Dr Imredy, in a speech, said he believed that at the present time authority should take precedence over liberty. He felt the need of a movement to support the Government by drawing inspiration from a powerful and clearly formulated ideology. He declared he was not aiming at party dictatorship and had no intention of copying foreign methods. POLITICAL PARTIES SUSPENDED PRAGUE. October 28. (Received October 29, at 10 a.m.) The Rutheniau Government has suspended the activity of all political parties. FORMER RUTHENIAN PREMIER ARRESTED CHARGED WITH HIGH TREASON. PRAGUE, October 27. Dr Brody, former Ruthenian Premier, was arrested after the suspension of parliamentary immunity and charged with, high treason and corruption. It has/been revealed that he did not resign but was dismissed by the Czech Central Government on the allegation that he accepted bribes from Hungary to support a plebiscite in Rutheuia. The Slovak Premier, M. Tiso, is investigating allegations that the deputy leader, M. Sidor, was similarly corrupted from Poland. COMPLICATIONS IN RUTHENIA LONDON. October 27. The Prague correspondent of ‘ The Times ’ points out that the arrests are an indication of the complications in the Ruthenian problem, the country being flooded with foreign propaganda and foreign money, with which an insurrection ■ was to be fomented. He adds: “ These events may endanger Czechoslovakia’s position in the impending arbitration concerning the future of Slovakia and - Rulhenia. HERR VON RIBBEKTROP'S MISSION AGREEMENT WITH ITALY WANTED. LONDON, October 27. The Rome correspondent of ‘ The Times ’ says; “ There is no doubt that Herr von Ribbentrop aims at deciding with Italy the fate of Eastern Czechoslovakia. Dr Gayda suggested other subjects for discussion, but these may be advanced to detract from the primary topic, on which agreement between Italy and Germany is incomplete.” CZECH RELIEF FUND {British Official Wireless.l RUGBY, October 28.
