Kocotakis, the Consul-General for Greece, speaking on behalf of his countrymen resident in Sydney, said: “Princess Marina has always been considered in Greece as our most charming princess, and her coming to Australia has filled the hearts of my people with joy.” It is expected that many members of the consular corps will transfer their headquarters to and many people prominent in the social life of the community will establish residence at Canberra prior to the Duke’s arrival, which will also compel extensive improvement in the vice-regal accommodation in the capital territory.
