ROSLYN-KAIKORAI RATEPAYERS

MEETING OF ASSOCIATION The monthly meeting of the Roslyn and Kaikorai Ratepayers’ Association was held last night, Mr P. L. Ritchie presiding. There were also present Messrs G. L. Latirenson, A. G. Sherritf, P. Findlay, D. O’Connell, J. A. Paterson, W. J. Bell, and A. C. Laing. In reference to several matters submitted for attention, the town clerk wrote that authority had been given for the construction of 24ft of and channelling at the junction ot Gamma and Delta streets. Difficulty would be experienced in attempting to widen Taieri road between Ann street and Kaikorai Valley road to the full width owing to the grading, and in the first instance it would be preferable to widen the north side opposite Ann street.' Funds were not available tor the work at present, however, but it would be noted for the coming year. Arrangements had been made for the replacement of the reflector on the light in Ross street, opposite Michie street, with one of the latest type. When funds aero available Ayr street required reconstructing. The cleaning of Chapel street would in the future bo looked after thoroughly. Mr J. Moir, a member of the executive for a lengthy period, was granted three months’ leave of absence owing to ill-health.
