‘BATS IN THE BELFRY’

ALAN LOVEDAY BENEFIT In the Town Hall Concert Chamber this evening the Alan Loveday Fund Committee will present, by permission of the Dunedin Repertory Society, the amusing three-act comedy, ‘ Bats in the Belfiy,’ by Diana Morgan and R. MacDermott. The play is being produced to assist the committee, which is working to send the young violinist to Europe for future tuition. The play is of the light comedy type, and was a great success when played in London. The cast for this production contains many names well known in Dunedin amateur dramatic circles, and includes Mrs John M'Phereon, Mrs Rex Palmer, Mrs Daphne Bowman, Misses Isobel Newlands, Kathrine Napier, Messrs Ken Palmer, D. S. Chisholm, Bruce Al'Kenzie, Alex. M'Dowell, Maurice Kershaw, Chris. Clementson, D. C. Rose, and H. Robinson. An added attraction will be ’the appearance between acts of Master Alan Loveday himself, who will be accompanied by Miss Mavis Macdonald at the piano.
