Because ho suffers from recurring attacks of quinsy, rheumatic gout, and high blood pressure, Mr-. F.. W. Popham, of Auckland, has undertaken a 100 days’ fast. To-day he is 34 days “ out,” and will not eat again until Now Year’s Day. His diet- is almost solely water. Since 1933 he has indulged' in fasts of 57, 81. 100, and 40 days. “ I am feeling better every day,” he said today.
