Bank of New Zealands recovered slightly, a 2d gain carrying buyers up to £2 Is 2d, but holders were not to be drawn. Nationals of New Zealand eased Is on vendors’ oli'er. Mosgiel Woollens were quoted by holders at a Is reduction, while breweries and other Dominion industrials closed unchanged. D.I.C. (prefs.) attracted their, first buyer for a long time, an inquiry at Is fid above par being answered at £1 3s. Taranaki 'Oils continued to be the subject of speculation. Buyers advanced limits to 13s lOd, the best offer for some time, but sellers remained off. Australians were accorded good buying support, and prices were steady. 1.C.1.’s preference scrip firmed further under a strong inquiry, but Broken Hills and Coles were unchanged.
