BEAUTY CONTEST

MISS MURDOCH OTAGO FINALIST Finalist in the provincial contest in connection with the “ Miss New Zealand ” beauty competition, which has been staged in Dunedin over the past few weeks by the ‘ New Zealand Women’s Weekly,’ Miss Lila Murdoch (Woolworths) was presented with the “ Miss Otago ” sash at the Empire Theatre last night. Dr D. G. M‘Millan, M.P., made the presentation. Miss Murdoch will shortly travel to Palmerston North to compete in the Dominion final. Miss Letty M'Farlane was runner-up in the local competition.
