MOON EE VALLEY MEETING MELBOURNE, October 20. During the gallops at Epsom to-day Manolive broke the track record by covering nine furlongs in Imin 565. Lady Montague did a record six in Imin 14$. _ _ = Nuffield covered six in Imin 17. His trainer, J. Holt, is elated over the gallop. At Mentone Queen of Song and Catalogue moved well over six furlongs in i.u; Allunga will arrive in Melbourne on Monday in view of the Melbourne Cup. The acceptors for the Moonee Valley Cup, £3,000. one mile, five furlongs, number 12, including Queen of Song, Silver Standard, Sir Regent, Gay Knight, Manolive, and Ortelles Star. The field for the Cox Plate, £I,OOO, nine furlongs and a-half. numbers 11, and includes Royal Chief, Ajax, Amigo, Catalogue, The Trump, Young Idea. The acceptors for the minor events include Aranui. Esperanto, and Grandson; 11, in fixe St. Albans Handicap, for colts, first division.
