CRICKET PLAYING AREAS COUNCIL ALLOCATES WICKETS The Reserves Committee of tho City Council reports that the applications from , cricket organisations and clubs for the granting of playing ureas on the recreation reserves during the current summer season have been dealt with, and a total of 64 wickets has been, allotted, as follows :—Otago Cricket Association, 19 wickets; Otago Boys’ Cricket Association, 17: Otago Cricket League, 14; Otago Women’s Cricket Association, 5; sundry unafiiliatod dubs, 9. The charges for the various wickets will be ns hitherto: No. 1 ground l , Logan Park, and No. 1 ground, Tonga Park, £2O in each ease; other grounds, £6 5s a wicket. For the Otago Women’s Cricket Association the charge is £1 6s 3d a wicket. TJnaffiliated clubs pay £3 2s 6d a wicket. No charge is made' to tho Otago Boys Cricket Association. In addition, tho Otago Cricket League pays an amount of £7 10s for the use of" the pavilion on tho Princes street side of tho Oval, and tno Women’s Cricket Association pays £2 10s for the use of a pavilion on the Anderson’s Bay side of the Oval.
