SUTCLIFFE GROUP OF RADIANT LIVING
On October 19, in the Y.M.C.A. Assembly Hall, the members of the Sutcliffe Group of Radiant Living held a special meeting to celebrate Founder’s Day, which is observed by Radiant Living schools and groups throughout the .world. The hall was lavishly decorated, with flowers, and the effect was enhanced by a colourful display of fruits and vegetables, the whole scene forming a fitting setting for the first publio function held bv Or Sutcliffe’s students in Dunedin. There_ was an appreciative audience. of visitors, who enjoyed the varied programme of songs, physical culture, and food display. A pleasing feature was the presenco of very young children of group members, as well as people of advanced years, all keenly interested in the work and progress 'of Radiant Living. Miss N. Williams, vice-president of the Christchurch Sutcliffe School of Radiant Living, gave a most instructive address on the principles of Radiant Living as expressed on and through the mental, physical, and spiritual plans of human existence. Messages of radiant greeting were received from students of the Christchurch, Wanganui,, and Auckland schools. During the evening Miss Williams unfurled the Radiant Living banner of blue and gold, which sets forth the school’s ideal of peace, love, and harmony. . The funds of the group benefited by the sale of the fruits, vegetables, flowers, and radiant health baking. The full value of co-operation was demonstrated by students, who worked in perfect harmony to ensure a successful function with an atmosphere of joy.
