NEW GENERAL MANAGER. MR CHALMERS INTERIM DIVIDENDS ANNOUNCED [Per United Press Association.! WELLINGTON, October 21. The board of directors of the Bank of New Zealand announced to-day the appointment of Mr H. R. H. Chalmers, at present assistant general manager, to be general manager in succession to Mr Dawson, who retires on April 30 next. Mr P. L. Porter, manager at Christchurch, will become assistant general manager, Mr L. Brinkman succeeding him at Christchurch. Mr F. E. Ashby will become the Wellington manager. The directors announce an interim dividend of Is a share on ordinary shares and of 3| per cent, on the D (long term) mortgage shares, to be paid in New Zealand currency on December 10.
