ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
FALL FROM BICYCLE. A badly lacerated tongue and a fractured jaw were suffered by Andrew Tye, a boy who lives at 116 Clyde street, when he fell from his bicycle this morning. He was admitted to the Hospital at 7.45 o’clock. KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR. Knocked down by a motor vehicle in Omahu road, Hastings, about 8 o’clock last night, an elderly pedestrian, Lambert Emanuel Berggren, of Fernhill, was admitted to the hospital suffering from concussion. His condition this morning was critical. The driver of the vehicle .is unknown.—Press Association. BOY DROWNED. Geoffrey Paul Knight, aged eight, son of Mr Alfred Howard Knight, accountant of the State Advances Department, was drowned when he slipped into the Hatea River at the rear of his parents’ home. —Whangarei Press AsI sedation.
