BOY SCOUTS COMMITTEE
ANNUAL MEETING
The twenty-ninth annual meeting of the 4th (North Dunedin) Boy Scout Committee was held in the Scout Hall, Leith street, on Tuesday. The chairman, Mr H. Muntz, welcomed members and friends, especially the patron, Mr J. R. Fairbairn, and Mrs Fairbairn, and Commissioner Wing. The secretary read the report and balance sheet, which were received with enthusiasm. . . Mr Muntz briefly outlined the activities of the committee during the year, and thanked members for their good work and loyal support, enabling the building loan fund to be considerably reduced. Scoutmaster Beauchamp and Cubmaster Helen Mains read detailed reports of the work with troop and pack. The Chairman thanked officers for their reports, remarking that such good work was an encouragement to the committee to carry on its work. Commissioner King congratulated the committee and officers alike on their
good Scouting work, also Scouter Beau* champ on his appointment to District Scoutmaster. ... . • Mr J. R Fairbairn said the balance sheet proved that the committee .had been hard at work, and he congratu* lated all on their efforts. The election of office-bearers for the following year resulted as follows• Patron, Mr J. R. Fairbairn; chairman, Mr H. Muntz; deputy-chairman, Mr N* Davie; treasurer, Mrs Nicdlson; secre* tary, Mrs Dodds. Strong sub-commit-tees were set up to deal with various matters during the year. The meeting closed with a happy social hour.
