COLUMBA COLLEGE

ANNUAL SPORTS ONE RECORD BROKEN The annual sports of Columba College were held on the school snorts grounds in ideal conditions, and there was a large attendance of parents and friends. The programme was a large one, even although the finals of the senior and junior cup competitions were previously run off, but no time was lost during the afternoon. Main interest centred, of course, in the senior and junior competition, but there was wider rivalry in the house and form competitions. The senior winner was Monica Lindsay, who had a lead of one point over N. Kerr and I. Mee. Competition was not so close in the junior competition, the winner, Donella Mitchell, having a lead of nine points over the runner-up, Pat Yardley. One record was broken during the afternoon. In the 75 Yards Senior Cup event, I. Mee reduced the existing record from 9 4-ssec to 9Jsec. The following are the results:— SENIOR CUP. 60 Yards Hurdles. —Monica Lindsay and N. Kerr '(equal) 1, M.
