TO THE EDITOR Sir, —“ Bacon Curer ” states that pigs are cheaper in Auckland than in Dunedin. That may bo so. However, ho fails to take into consideration that award wages arc paid in Auckland, and 1 believe that the basic wage does not apply to the industry here. He also does not allow for shipping charges from Auckland to Dunedin.—l am, etc., October 8. Weaker.
