GEORGE STREET COLLISION

INJURED CYCLIST SUCCUMBS INQUEST OPENED The young nian. Douglas Haig Gutsell, who was struck by a motor car while cycling in the early hours of Tuesday morning last at the corner of George and Frederick streets, died in the Dunedin Hospital last night. An inquest was opened this morning by Mr H. W. Bundle. S.M.. sitting as coroner.

George Mores GutseW. labourer, residing at Chaslands, identified tbe body as that of his brother. Deceased, said witness, had enjoyed good health, and! In's eyesight and hearing had beeu good. He was an experienced cyclist, having ridden for a number of years. Witness, personally, know nothing of the accident. At this stage the inquiry was adjourned sine die, the coroner ordering a post-mortem examination to be held.
