TALBOYS HOME CONCERT

Last night a concert was given to the old people, who were also provided with supper comprising sandwiches, fruit, lollies, cigarettes, and soft drinks by the Hon. F. and Mrs Jones, who were accorded a warm welcome by the artists and inmates. The following contributed items: —Songs—Mesdames Magda and Smith. Messrs J. Smith, Hodden, Master J. Miller, Misses M. Robertson, Moira Anderson. Wilmer Jennings, Mr D. White; piano accordeon, Mr Arthur Quinn; mouth organ and piano, Mr Arthur Quinn; bagpipes music, Master Airdrie Stewart; piano solo, Miss Megan John; recitations— Misses Pearl Wilden, Phyllis Wigg. Masters J. Miller, Martin Goodey; tap dance—Miss Audrey "Wheeler, Martin Goodey; hornpipe. Master _J. Miller. During the evening the various wards were visited by the artists, and the Women’s Committee handed round eupper. Mr Jones spoke words of icheer to the old people. Mr Ruth thanked Mr Macpherson for arranging for the performers.
