Time, Imin 40]sec. RAGING IN AUSTRALIA TRAINING AT FLEMINGTON AND CAULFIELD Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright MELBOURNE, October 20. (Received October 20, at 2 p.m.) Conditions were ideal for the gallops at Flemington. On the course proper, 30ft out, Sir Regent and Bachelor King, lightly shod, covered 10 furlongs in 2min 13sec. Going well, Laiglon and Gay Knight comfortably ran nine furlongs in 2min 6£seo. _ , St. Constant, improving daily, did a mile in Imin 46isec. Merry Style beat Rising Glass over three furlongs in 37sec. Mohican did four furlongs in Slsec, and Plectrum did seven furlongs on the sand in Imin 37sec, doing well in the preparation work. At Caulfield, on the sand, Royal Chief, going better than Spear Chief, covered seven furlongs in Imin 30sec. It was an excellent trial.
The Trump ran a mile freely in Imin 46seo, Prince Sion beat Silver Standard and Sidcup over six furlongs in Imin 18sec. On the grass Marauder covered an excellent 10 furlongs in 2min llsep, doing the last six furlongs in Imin 17sec, never working better. Beau Mari beat Esperanto over four findings in 49sec, Adios and Amigo, moving freely, ran six furlongs in limn Ifiisec. Hegemonic did a smart six furlongs in Imin 15|sec Fort Regal beat The Tempest and Pakeha over a mile in Imin 49sec.
Ajax easily covered six funiongs in Imin 17sec.
Ortelles Star and Tregenna did a mile in Imin 46sec.
