PUBLIC NOTICES. TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS 1. The undermentioned streets will bo closed to vehicular traffic with the exception of trade vehicles delivering goods, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.:— BURNS STREET, from Ferguson street to Cargill road. All Public Vehicles, such as motor omnibuses and taxis, are to proceed to Carisbrook via Princes street, Anderson’s Bay road, Bridgman street, to Wilkie road, and under -the railway bridge to Gillies street and Ferguson street, dropping passengers at the entrance gates. Outward traffic on this route will cease at 3 p.m., and after that hour outward traffic will be via Main South road to Carisbrook Ground. The return route will be either by Neville street or Cargill road, as directed by the officers on traffic duty. 4. All Private Cars from the city to proceed via Main South road over the Cemetery Hill, and park in streets south of Law street. Southland cars to park in Law street (both sides), from Main South road to Cargill road. Return route after the match as directed by the officers on traffic duty. 5. All special trams to proceed to Carisbrook via Cargill’s Corner. 6. AH Vehicles returning from Carisbrook via Princes street shall turn down Police street, thence via Crawford street to Rattray street. 7. Between 12.30 p.m. and 5 p.m. all vehicles using Cargill road, with the exception of trams, are reguired to proceed on the one-way system—i.e., in a westerly direction only—between Cargill road and Burns street. 8. The special arrangements made for Southland cars to bo parked in Law street cease at 2 p.m. 9. It is expected that drivers of motor vehicles will promptly give their signals as to direction they wish to travel and obey the officers on traffic duty.
