BIG FIRE IN JAPAN OVER ONE HUNDRED CASUALTIES Press Association— By Telegraph— Copyright, TOKIO, September 6. One hundred people were killed or injured and 7,000 are homeless as the result of a fire which destroyegd half the town of Himimachi. The Japanese Navy refused a request from the German Embassy to protect the Germanowned Eurasia Company’s planes. CAUSED BY TYPHOON. TOKIO, September 6. (Received September 7, at 1.30 p.m.) The Himimachi fire was due to the typhoon, which passed on to Hokkaidow after destroying 72 houses, flooding 2,164 and damaging 42 bridges.
