ARTHUR STREET SCHOOL

JUBILEE ARRANGED Jubilee celebration arrangements of the Beach Street, Middle District, and Arthur Street Schools were completed last night. Committees have been working- for several weeks finding ail expupils, whose enthusiasm augurs well for the success of the function. The programme will be held as follows: —September 30, social reunion; October 1, historical meeting and jubilee dinner; October 2, commemoration service at First Church; October 3, jubilee ball; October 4, picnic for present pupils and social evening for the younger ex-pupils. The Jubilee Committee has received from Captain Davey, an ex-pupil of the school, a magnificent photograph of his present, command, the Awatea. This will be officially; handed over to the school during the-celebrations.
