CHURCH RENOVATIONS WORK AT ST. ANDREW'S FINISHED Renovations at St. Andrew’s Church. Carroil street, which have been in progress for some months, are now finished. The work has been carried out to designs supplied by the architects. Miller and White, and the result, as the photograph shows, is a ■ greatlyimproved exterior. Interior work has also been done. The renovations in connection with the outside of the building were of an extensive nature, the whole of the plaster work being removed and a waterproof plaster applied. This new coat has been finished in cream, which presents a much brighter tint to the eye than the original grey. Some of the ornamentations on the exterior of the building tended to cause cracks in the plaster, and these have been removed. The facade of the church now presents a much more simplified design than previously. Inside the building a good deal of the old plaster was falling away, but this has now been taken awav and the walls recovered while the various rooms underneath and at the rear of the church have also been renovated. The pews and dado running round the interior of the church have also been attended to.
