'INSECT PLAY'

The Left Book Club Drama Group’s production of the ‘ Insect Play ’ at the Y.W.C.A. Hall on Friday and Saturday next, should he interesting on account of sets and costumes ‘designed by Rodney, Kennedy, and Colin M'Cahan. Some of the dresses have been specially painted; one of the characters wears a surrealist wig of gildodi wood-shaving, with a gilt complexion to match, and the headdresses of the various Aut leaders are a mixture of Egypt, Peru, and the future. The various furnishings and properties have appropriate geometrical forms. In some cases an ordinary costume or make-up with one grotesque and characteristic feature is sufficient to give the right entomological suggestion. De Bossy’s String Quartet in G Minor will give a musical accompaniment.
