FORESTERS
The fortnightly meeting of Court Pride of the Leith was held on Wednesday last, when there was a good attendance of members, the C.R., Bro. 0. H. A. Slack, being in the chair. A motion of sympathy was passed with Bro. L. 0. Tyrrell in his bereavement. Reports were given by several members on official visits to sister courts, and a substantial grant from the benevolent fund was voted to the widow of a late member. Official visits were received from Courts King Edward’s Pride, Little John, Pride of Green Island, and Woodlands Pride. The visitors were welcomed by the C.R.; The secretary mentioned that the latest returns from the official directory of the order showed that Court Pride of the Leith was the twenty-second highest branch of the A.O.F. in the world. Bro. W. Love An invitation from Court Pride of Green Island to attend its anniversary ball was accepted A challenge, issued by the brothers for a basketball match, was accepted by the sisters. An enjoyable evening was spent at ping-pong and dandng.
