CUBE DEFEATS OTAGO The annual game between the senior hockey teams of the Otago Boys’ High School and the Gore District High School -was played at Gore yesterday, the home side winning by 2 goals to 0 after an exciting match. The game was well contested throughout, play reaching a high standard. Though the Otago boys were bigger and faster than their opponents, the home team displayed superior stickwork, enabling them to frustrate numerous promising movements. The teams were as follows : Gore High School. —K. Abel, W. Baldwin, W. Reynolds, W. M’Dowall, D White, J. M'Math, G. Barton, !R. Hunt, K. White,. J. Chamberlain. D. Rowntree. , Otago Boys’ High School. —Cameron, M'Neur, Laing, M'Arley, Mowat, Patrick. Salter, Reid, Stuart, BircHell. Timpany. There was no score in the first spell, and in the second half goals were scored for Gore by K. White and Chamberlain.
