FUNCTION AT PALMERSTON
MANCHESTER UNITY BALL The Oddfellows’ annual ball was held in the Town Hall, Palmerston, and was attended by 120 couples, including visitors from the sister lodges at Oamaru, Waikouaiti, and Dunback. The hall was tastefully decorated by the members with blue and gold streamers, and the visitors were extended a formal welcome by the N.G., Mr K. Cockburn. Excellent music was supplied by the Sports Orchestra, and during the evening competitions were won by the following:—Lucky spot, Mr and Mrs C. Brown; Monte Carlo, Miss Hamilton and Mr Pilling. Mr S.
