TWO BRIGHT COMEDIES
HULBERT HEADS HILARITY Two hilarious comedies, each embodying a wealth of fast-moving humour that sweeps into riotous farce on the slightest provocation, comprise the programme at the Grand. Although of widely differing types, the two [productions have one thing in common—they are packed with amusing sequences, bright dialogue, and extremely funny situations, and' provide entertainment in which there is scarcely a moment that is not replete with rich humour.
The principal film is the British production, ‘ Interrupted Honeymoon,’ featuring Claude Hulbert, famed for his delightfully funny “silly ass ” roles. In his latest number he excels himself, and is almost unbelievably fatuous and addle-headed as a young man about to set out on his honeymoon, but dogged by a series of extraordinary misfortunes and complications that threaten to wreck his married bliss. The second picture is ‘Go Chase Yourself,’ with Joe Fenner < giving—peculiarly enough—the American version of a “ prize ass.” Inadvertently connected with the robbery of the bank in which he is employed as a- teller, Fenner is kidnapped by the real bandits and carried away in a trailer which he has won in a raffle. His endeavours to rescue a damsel in distress, and his completely asinine activities while in company "with the bandits, provide extremely amusing entertainment.
