H« was chairman of the Society of Author* and of the National Boob Council. He served in the Great War, and was men-* tioned in despatches. FINDLAY [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, August 6. Tho death' is announced of Mr David M'Cubbin Findlay, aged 72, of the legal firm of Findlay and Foot. He was a brother of the late Sir John Findlay, former Attorney-General, with whom he had his first partnership in Findlay, Dalziell, and Co. He was also in partnership with Mr 1). S. Smith, now Mr Justice Smith, for a short period. Deceased was a recognised authority on industrial law. He was engaged in numerous leading cases, and was the first to publish a book of awards, in digest form.
