TWO AMERICAN BROKERS LARGE SUM INVOLVED Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright CHICAGO, August 4. Starting at 12.40 a.m., J. Smith Ferrebe, aged 31, a broker, will tomorrow attempt to play 144 holes, wagering half a Virginian plantation worth lo.OOOdol and £2,500 cash. Ferrebe will be accompanied by a doctor, a scorer, and three caddies, who will be changed every 36 holes. He is confident of doing 144, but is worried whether he can shoot every round under 95, as he has wagered. Ferrebe and another broker wanted to dissolve a partnership in the plantation, but they could not agree on terms, and finally decided on the wager.
