SOUTH CANTERBURY TOUR COMPLETED [Phr United Press Association.] TIMARU, August 2. _ Tho Prime Minister completed his tour of South Canterbury to-day, returning north in the afternoon. He addressee a large meeting at Waimate last evening.. This morning Mr Savage paid flying visits to Makikihi, Pareora, and Pleasant Point, receiving warm welcomes at each centre and having luncheon at the latter centre as the guest of the local bodies. Late this afternoon he will meet the Hon. R. Semple at Arundel, where he will inspect the irrigation works. He will be entertained at Ashburton this evening prior to which ho will visit Methven. The weather during the tour has been clear but cold, the party travelling dVer many roads covered with snow. (
