Sir Edward Ellington, who has completed his report for the Commonwealth Government on the development of Australia’s Air Force, sailed unexpectedly by the Awatea to-night for New Zealand, without, as originally intended, visiting Brisbane and Darwin. He explained that he had received orders from Sir Kingsley Wood to proceed to Canada, where he will join the special British mission which is going to Canada to encourage the manufacture there of bombers for the Royal Air Force.
