BATTLE FLEET MAHEUVRES WATCHED BY KING Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, Juno 21. The King, for the first time, took command or the battle fleet and led 80 ships in channel manoeuvres from Weymouth Bay. His Majesty watched the manoeuvres from the bridge of the Nelson and saw the new cruisers Southampton and Glasgow attack the wirelessly controlled ghost ship Centurion. His Majesty was most keenly interested in dive-bombing attacks, but the biggest thrill was tire concentration shoot from the 15in guns of the Royal Oak and the Revenge. The noise was so tremendous that everyone was supplied with cottonwool to protect the eardrums.
