THE CORONATION ROBES

EXHIBITION IN DUNEDIN TO DFEN OK JULY 1 'Hie exhibition of Coronation robes and regalia, which, is at present touring New Zealand, is to open in Dunedin on Friday, July 1, at 2.30 p.m. The exhibition will be held in the Town Hall every day until the following Sunday (July 3), closing at 6 o’clock on that day. Included in the exhibition are the King’s robe, surcoat, and glove, the Queen’s robe, the Princesses’ robes and circlets, the canopy, and standards, in addition to the regalia table, the frontal of the royal box, and some samples of Coronation carpets. The robes will be draped over dummy figures and encased in airtight cases mounted on a raised platform. The canopy will be erected separately on a raised platform and measures sft by 6ft 4in, being supported on poles 9ft high. The standards on exhibition will include those of Scotland, Canada, South Africa, England, the Indian Era* pire, Ireland, Wales, Australia, ami New Zealand. There will also be tin Union Standard and the Royal Staa dard.
