THE FIRST TEST NEW ZEALAND TEAM SELECTED [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, June 20. The New Zealand women’s hockey team to meet the English team m the first test match of the tour at Christchurch on July 6 was announced at a meeting of the New Zealand Women’s Hockey Association this evening. The team is:— Goal.—-Miss M. Rhind (Canterbury). Full-backs.—Misses A. M'Domald (Eastern), W. Woolley (Marlborough), Mrs L. Askew (Auckland). Halves.—Misses M. Sason (Eastern), S. Aldridge (Canterbury), A. Mackie Forwards. —Misses M. Nicol (Eastern), M. M'Kenzie (Canterbury), M. Sheriff (Eastern), H. M'Lellan (Wellington), D. Dickey (Canterbury), Mrs I. Lawler (Auckland). Miss Nicol is to be captain and Miss Mackie vice-captain. The manager will be Mrs J. H. Poulter, and the coach Mr G. C. Hamilton.
