PARISH OF ST. JOHN, ROSLYN
PARISHIONERS' MEETING The annual meeting of parishioners was held on Tuesday last in the parish hall. His Lordship Bishop Fitchett (vicar) I presided over an attendance of 40 J parishioners. j The annual report and statement of ■ accounts were adopted on the motion of the vicar, seconded by the parish warden, Mr John Simpson. Both reviewed the principal items of interest. The vicar reappointed as his warden Mr W. E. Earnshaw and the parishion. ers re-elected as their warden Mr John Simpson. The following were re-elected vestrymen:—Messrs R, W. S. Botting, L. B Bradstock. F. L. Buttle, T. Conly, W. J. Davie, L. W. Green, A, Goodley. E. Moir (hon. treasurer), E. Rackley, F. J. D. Rolfe. The hon. auditors, Messrs G. L. Bindley and J T. Dawson, were reappointed auditors, and a vote of thanks passed them for their services. A motion expressing sympathy and affection to Mr W. J. Davie, who was unable to attend this meeting, was carried unanimously. A motion was recorded conveying the parishioners’ thanks to Mr and Mrs \V. H Allen for their services as choirmaster and organist for the past 13 years A vote of thanks was accorded all church workers, and also the vicar for acting as chairman. At the close of business the ladies of the Afternoon Guild dispensed supper, and a social hour was spent.
