DICTATORS’ AIMS
HO TRIPLE ALLIANCE HERR HITLER'S MEMOIR LONDON, June 10. An alliance between Britain, Germany, and Italy is regarded by Herr Hitler as impossible, according to the noted French journalist, Madame Tabouis. She states that this view was expressed in a memoir drawn up by Herr Hitler after his Italian visit. The memoir is being circulated among the most important Nazi officials, the copies are numbered, and their circulation is strictly controlled to ensure secrecy. The moves indicated, Madame Tabouis adds, are:— (1) The final occupation of Spain by Italy and Germany. This presupposes that the agreement between Britain and Italy is collapsing, as it is dependent on Italy’s withdrawal from Spain. (2) Protection of the Romo-Berlin “ axis ” as against Russia, by taking over Bohemia, including Prague, and the creation of an alliance between the Baltic States, Poland, Rumania, and Yugoslavia. (3) Preparation for an attack on France and forcing the unconditional return of the colonies and_ Alsace-Lor-raine, also Savoy and Tunisia. The memoir says every effort will be made to carry out the programme without war, but, if difficulties arise, there will be no hesitation to use force.
